The Solihull Approach is about relationships and raising emotional health. The long-running, highly respected training introduces a way of thinking and working with children that is consistently described as transformational. Â
Developed by clinical psychologists, child psychotherapists and health and education practitioners, training equips school staff with an understanding of the evidence-based approach designed to understand childhood development, read behaviours and nurture relationships for emotional wellbeing. The two-day course, also offered to schools as a one-day plus twilight follow-up session includes:Â
Solihull Approach 2-Day Foundation training is offered regularly throughout the year and available for individual booking by school staff. In groups of typically 12 people, you will join practitioners from across sectors to share and learn how to embed the Solihull Approach in practice.Â
Closed, bespoke Foundation training is arranged for all school staff including school leadership, administration, teaching and support. Groups are typically run for between 20-50 staff and includes tailored case studies and group discussion for enhanced school impact.
Trained practitioners can follow additional training to become a Solihull Approach trainer and train others. They can also train to deliver parent groups and run Solihull Approach PSHE content.
