There are also specific online courses for staff groups in high-pressure environments: police, firefighters, health care and ambulance teams and social care staff.
They are all available individually or with a Multi-User Licence to cover professional groups within an area (contact us for details at 0121 296 4448).
All of them can be undertaken without having completed the Solihull Approach 2 Day Foundation Training, but ‘Understanding trauma’, ‘Understanding attachment’ and ‘Understanding brain development’ are also designed as Solihull Approach Advanced trainings. Each of these three courses provides 3.5 CPD hours. They can form part of your embedding strategy. They also contribute to Solihull Approach Advanced Trained Practitioner status.
To become a Solihull Approach Advanced Trained Practitioner, you’ll need to complete the 2-Day Foundation training plus 3 of the Advanced trainings, either face-to-face or online. Please send copies of your certificates to solihull.approach@uhb.nhs.uk. We will then add you to the register and send you an Advanced Trained Practitioner certificate.
